(a) Consider and deal with those common intra-industry problems of management, such as those involved in the importation, brokerage, storage, processing and distribution of essential oil; secure cooperative action in advancing the common purposes of its members; foster equity in business usages, and promote activities aimed at enabling the industry to conduct itself with the greatest
(b) Give consideration and expression upon questions affecting the industry as related to the financial, commercial, and industrial interest of the country.
(c) Cooperate with other industries and organizations.
(d) Do whatever is necessary and proper for the accomplishment of any objectives herein set forth or which shall be recognized as proper and lawful objectives of trade associations, all of which shall be consistent with the public interest, as well as in the interest of this trade.

In furtherance of these purposes and objectives, but not in limitation thereof, the Association shall function as follows:

(a) Acquire, preserve and distribute valuable business information, and promote the best interests of the Essential Oil Industry.
(b) Collect and disseminate statistics and other information.
(c) Promote standardization and simplification of terminology of essential oils.
(d) Conduct trade promotion and research activities.
(e) Establish uniform contracts, conduct arbitrations, and adjust controversies and misunderstandings between its members.
(f) Provide and regulate offices for the use of the Association.
(g) Advance lawful trade practices, customs, and usages; promote industrial safety and the establishment of sanitary conditions; and engage in any lawful activities pertaining to the Essential Oil Trade Association.

Indessota's mission shall be fulfilled by the accomplishment of clearly set objectives. The expertise and knowledge of its members shall be coordinated by the Board of Management, Committees, and Staff.
